Know Your Numbers

The Health Literacy Companion to the Masters Track Program

Know Your Numbers is the health literacy initiative that runs alongside the BMR Masters Track Program. The premise is simple. The conditions hitting Black men hardest, high blood pressure, diabetes, and heart disease, are largely preventable, but only if you catch them early. Most carry no symptoms until a crisis forces the conversation. Knowing your numbers is how you act before that happens.

The numbers that matter

Members learn the handful of numbers that tell the real story of their health, and what a healthy range looks like for each.

Each one connects to the training members are already doing. Consistent running moves every number on this list in the right direction.

Why it belongs with the Masters Track Program

  • The track is where the brotherhood and the weekly habit live. Know Your Numbers is where that habit becomes measurable health.

  • Every session is a touchpoint to reinforce screening, awareness, and action.

  • Developed alongside our medical community partners, it gives BMR a structured, credible health initiative.

  • It proves the mission with data, not just messaging, the same standard the program is built on.

The goal

The goal is not perfection. It is awareness. One screening, one blood panel, one honest conversation can change a man's trajectory. That is BMR's mission made concrete for the members who need it most.
